That kind of reminds me of dogpile (http://www.dogpile.com/). In the infopeople workshop I am currently in we are evaluating exalead (http://www.exalead.com/search) which allows to make your search really specific.
I just noticed your March post about Exalead. Sorry :o)
I need to look at Exalead again I can't remember what it does. It would be nice to have a workshop at a regional meeting on search engines.
I like the look of the homepage. There are some great features for the novice. I will be trying this source soon.
